Smriti Madana Shines Again with a T20 Ton
Smriti Madana, the hear throbe of many women cricket fans joins with Indian women cricket team captain Mithali Raj by scoring a hundred in T20 games. The Indian girl now playing in England Women Cricket Super league for team Western Storm. Last match only she scored a quick half-century in just 18 balls. And levels the record of New zealand's Sophievine. Both registered the fastest half century in Women T20 History with 18 balls.
Yesterday Western Storm team faces Lancashire Thunders in the league match. Thunders bat first and scored 153 with fall of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Later Storm team started the chase. Lancashire experienced a batting storm from Mandhana. The south paw girl take the match in her bat and smashed Thunder bowlers to boundary. Mandhana scored a brilliant Maiden T20 century with 61 balls. She scored 101 at the end of chase. Obviously Western storm won the match by 7 wickets by scoring the target runs in 19th over.
Now Smriti Mandhana becomes the second women cricketer to score a century in T20 games after Mithali Raj. As of now only two centuries done in women T20 and both from Indians.
