RA-HULK and PUNCH-LORD show at Wankhede
On the 24 match of IPL 2019 at Wankhaede Stadium Mumbai lot of fireworks from both the teams. Audience experienced another high score run chase in this season. Definitely this will be the memorable match for both the teams. Till last ball both the team having winning probability. Hard luck and it went to Mumbai Indians. Before the start of match Mumbai announced that their regular captain Rohit Sharma not going to play and Pollard will be the captain for that match. Out form Pollard have to prove both his batting and captaincy skill. But he did it more than expected. By talking about pollard we should not forget the innings made by KL Rahul and Chris Gayle.
Pollard may be the hero of the match, But Rahul will the cricketer of this match. After the toss Kings XI started the innings with Rahul and Gayle. Both batted like a hell, Universal boss gayle sending balls to the gallery. While Rahul playing with cricketer shots. Because of both Punjab scored 116 at 12 overs with loss of Gayle. The Carribean King scored 67 runs from 36 balls with 7 monstrous sixes. Unexpectedly Miller came to bat at no3 but he failed once again. Then Karun nair and sam curran lost their wickets within short time. On the other hand rahul played like rahul dravid, that is building the innings. At 19th over of Hardik Pandya, he showed that he is not a regular rahul dravid he is just a form of RA-HULK Dravid. He scored 25 runs in that over itself, I think KL remember the "Koffee with Karan" program with Hardik. By showing some extra ordinary innings, final he got his ton at 20th over. This is the 4th ton in IPL 2019. Already Warner, Bairstow and Samson has scored, and Prithvi Shaw missed it by 1 run. At the end Punjab scored 197 runs.
Definitely this is the big target for Mumbai, when hit man is not there. As like expected Mumbai lost three wickets for 66 runs at 10th over. Shami was on fire he bowled exceptional. Batsman never try to attack his ball. Definitely this form will help him in upcoming ICC world cup. Now Mumbai need 133 runs from 60 balls. Then Kieron Pollard came as a saviour of Mumbai fans. He did what Russel doing for Kolkata. He came to form at right time, its completely Pollard's day. Without any partiality he smashed Curran and Rajpoot. Both the bowlers combinely gave 100plus runs in their spell. At the time of presentation Pollard told that "he loves when ball reaches gallery". Thats true he is sending ball to boundary again and again. He smashed 3 sixes in Ashwin's over and increased his attacking confidence. Finally he gone for 83 runs from 31 balls with 3 boundaries and 10 sixes at 19.2 overs. Thats too late right. that time MI need 4 runs from 4 balls, Rahul Chahar and Joseph were in crease. Rajpoot bowled that over, 3 balls as dot, 4th and 5th as a single. Mumbai need 2 from 1 ball. Joseph scored that runs and Mumbai won by 3 wickets.
Lot of mistakes happened from both the end. Rajpoot bowled lot of full toss at final over, i think he tried for yorkers and it went as full toss. 20th over 1st ball he bowled as No ball full toss and pollard send that to six. So 7 runs came for Mumbai without bowled a ball, when they need 15 from 6 balls. Additionally with that free hit also came. Rajpoot should know how to bowl at death overs, he lost his patience it seems. Fielding was not upto the expectations for Kings XI that leads to lot of catch drops.
We have to mention about Hardik Pandya here, he should remember cricket is a gentlemen game. But he is not behaving like that once again he argued something with Viljoen while batting. Viljoen just smiled at him and went. Already Hardik faced a ban because of that program, if he continuous this behaviour definitely Mumbai will lose Fairplay award. Anyway thanks for both the teams for giving a true Nail biting match.
