Finally Kohli and team put an end to their losing streak
After the consecutive 7 defeats including last game loss at previous season RCB finally grab a winning point and put an end for loss. Yesterday they faced Kings XI punjab at Mohali. In last post we mentioned if RCB lost this match it will be record if so they should dismantle the team. But doesnt happen like that. One more time Chahal, Kohli and Devilliers saved RCB. The team completely depend on these three players. Yesterday all the three performed well and make the win possible. We should not forget the brilliant knock by Universal Boss for Punjab.
Kings XI opened the bat with Rahul and Gayle. In last match both performed well and rahul hit century too. This time also started with 3rd gear but lost Rahul earlier to Chahal. Mayank Agarwal and Sarfaraz khan went to pavilion within regular interval. Both Chahal and Moen Ali showed their spin and grabbing wickets. Because of that Gayle didnt attempt big shots. He is just waiting for Chahal and Ali to complete their maximum overs. As a result of that score increasing slower at middle overs. Moreover Gayle played like one day, One day is just for gayle. He targetted Siraj well and scored 28 runs in one of his over. Finally Kings XI ends up with score 173 runs for 4 wickets. Chris Gayle once again played a brilliant knock and missed his another century by just 1 run. He scored 99 runs with 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. Anyway Gayle created one more record of scoring 100th half century in his T20 career. He is the first person to achieve that feet. Next to him Warner was there with 73 half centuries.
Then Royals started to chase that target with Parthiv and Kohli. They decided to hit from the ball itself. They targetted young Sam curran, particularly Kohli smashed his poor balls and take him a class where to pitch the ball and what length it should be. Ashwin tried mnay bowlers including Shami and finally he himself broke the partnership at 4th over. Parthiv gone for 19 runs in just 9 balls by Ashwin. Then top batsmen of world cricket continued the chase without any mistake. After a long gap we saw the old version of AB Devilliers. Kohli lost his wicket to Shami when he was 67 runs from 53 balls. Thats enough king, because already RCB have crossed 125 runs in 15 overs. Remaining target Abd and Stoinis finished quickly with 4 balls spare. Except the two spinners both Ashwin no other bowlers became a threat to RCB. I think if KXIP would have played an extra spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the place of Andrew Tye they may win the game.
Anyway top 3 pillars of RCB saved the team from the 7th consecutive loss in this season. If this happened RCB will be the first team to made this record in a season. Hardluck a record missed for RCB. Still they were in competition for playoff. They have to win all the remaining games. After a long time we can see many RCB fans were online and chanting again "EEEEE SAAALAA CUP NAMDEEEE"
Yesterday we have seen many players who played in Kings XI punjab were the Ex RCBian. Gayle, Rahul, Mayank, Sarfaraz, Mandeep, M ashwin. Like that Stoinis were Ex KXIP player playing for RCB. It looks like RCB Vs Ex RCB.
