Match 31: Mumbai Indians Vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Post Analysis

Hardik Pandya's hard hit makes RCB out of tournament
With lot of expectations RCB went to Mumbai for playing second time against Mumbai Indians. Their most anticipated players came to form in last match only. A comfortable win in last match gave hope to RCB players and fans. Before this match almost they were like walking on the knife. Challengers hope that their team will win the remaining matches and will qualify for playoff. But Rohit and team just sprayed some water on the face of fans and tell them to wakeup from the dream.

Wankhede is good pitch for batting, so RCB batted first innings with lot of confidence. But Kohli gone just 8 runs in 3rd over itself by Jason Behenderoff. Parthiv patel give another decent opening score of 28 runs and lost his wicket to hardik Pandya. Then Moen Ali and AB Devilliers completely changed the batting style. Abd scoring like Ali and Ali started playing like left hand Abd. They both building the required partnership for RCB. MI bowlers doesnt have any idea to break these partnership they marches towards 100 runs. But they lost Moen Ali when they were 144 runs for 17 overs by a slow ball from Malinga. Ali scored 50 runs from 32 balls. Then Yorker King shaked the RCB batting lineup. He removed the only middle order hitter for RCB Marcus Stoinis for a duck in a leading edge. At 19th over Abd played like Mr 360 and increased RCB score to 165 runs. But again malinga striked two wickets at death over and controlled RCB not scoring 180 runs. Finally they ends up with 171 runs. Malinga finished his spell with taking 4 wickets for 31 runs.

Then Mumbai started to chase the target with Rohit and Quinton. Both carry the last match form in this match too. They played tremendously in powerplay and didnt give any wicket to RCB. That time itself Kohli decided that they are going to lose one more match in this season. When the score was 70 at 7 overs. Rohit was bowled by Moen Ali with an extraordinary spin in the ball. He gone for 28 runs. Again Moen Ali came at 9th over and this time he took another opener Quinton Decock for 40 runs by a lbw. But this doesnt affect the chase of Mumbai Indians. Surya kumar and Ishan Kishan scored runs without any difficulty. Ishan scored 21 runs from 9 balls with three 3 sixes. Surya Kumar gone for 29 runs. Both lost their wickets to Chahal. Krunal Played some test innings at wrong time. Some how he got out for 11 runs from 21 balls. Because of this unwanted pressure over Mumbai. But Hardik hitted the ball hard to pavilion and make the target possible in 19th over itself. Hardik scored 37 runs from 16 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. He informed like that he is ready for the world cup.

Still Kohli didnt change his mind set. While captaining Indian team he wont keep the same team for every match. He used to change and confusing everyone. While playing for RCB he is not doing much change in team even they are losing. Dont know why he didnt use Stoinis while bowling on yesterdays match. Still completely depending on Siraj and Umesh.  Anyway nothing is there for RCB to lose now. If they win remaining all 6 games. They will end up with only 14 points, that wont be sufficient for qualifying playoff. Atleast now he can use Washington Sundar as additonal spinner to support Chahal. Because Chahal need some rest before going to play ICC tournament. And Kohli should use khejroliya who is the guy bowled better than Siraj in last tournament.
