Its 51st match of the IPL 2019, a legendary clash between Mumbai Indians with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mumbai has already registered a win over SRH at their first clash in this season by restricting SRH less dhan 100 runs. While Sunrisers looking for a must win to increase the chances of getting in playoff. But Mumbai Indians win another nail bitting match at their home. Its the second time in this season Super over decides the winner. And in both the matches winning side bowlers fetch the success for their team. If its rabada for DC and its Bumrah for Mumbai.
Sunrisers faced Mumbai Indians without warner. This reflects much in their chase. Mumbai batted first with Quinton De cock and Rohit Sharma. Both gave another decent opening until rohit depart for 24 runs. Then local boy Suryakumar supported De cock at other end. Because of SRH planned bowling and its execution. Mumbai cant able to score much at middle overs. Surya Kumar departed for 23 runs. Then no other batsmen scored well except De cock. He tried alone at one end and scored another half century in this season. Quinton remains not out with 69 runs from 58 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. Finally Mumbai ends up with 162 runs which is a below par score at Wankhede. Rashid Khan and Nabi bowled well with economy 5.25 and 6.00 respectively.
163 is difficult target for SRH that too without David Warner and Johnny Bairstow. Martin Guptil NZ double centurion came in place of warner to start the chase along with Saha. Both gave a good start and trying to many balls. SRH chase was steady until bumrah took Saha at 4th over last ball. Thats is unwanted shot fro Saha as they already scored boundary in Bumrah over. Then SRH batting collapse starts Guptil was lbw by bumrah in his next over. In form Manish pandey and kane Williamson joins their hands together to save their team. But one more bad innings from Williamson. He gone for 3 by lbw from krunal pandya over. then no other supported Manish at middle over. On side manish pandey moving towards the target with a steady innings. Mohammed Nabi supported him at death overs. Manish scored his half century but Nabi went out at 4th ball of 20th over. In last ball SRH needs 7 to win and 6 to tie the match. Manish scored a six and it became the second tie in this series.
The biggest mistake from SRH side is 20th over 4th ball faced by Nabi. At that time SRH needs 9 from 3 balls. Hardik pandya bowled a big wide Nabi unwantedly touched that and got out. If he didnt that will be wide SRH will get 1 run and the target will reduced into 8 from 3. and SRH may win this match. In Super over bumrah bowled terrific over, Manish run out in 1st ball for takign 2nd run. Eventhough Nabi hit a six at 3rd ball he bowled at 4th ball itself. SRH set 9 as target fro MI. Hardik smashed a six at the first ball itself bowled by Rashid which is enough to seal the victory. Mumbai qualify for Playoff.
