Last time when New zealand faced West Indies in 2015 WC quarter finals, a record double hundred was scored by Martin Guptil. Even West Indies players played well to chase the target unfortunately they lost wickets all went all out that leads to their elimination from that tournament. Yesterday both faced each other again in world cup. New Zealand didnt face any defeat till now in this tournament. Were Windies started the tournament by crushing pakistan, after that match they cant able to get any win, they got 1 point from an abandoned match. So its a must win game for Windies to survive in this tournament. But they came very close to the target and lost the match by just 5 runs margin.

Brathwaite scored 101 from 82 balls with 9 boundaries and 5 sixes. Boult took 4 wickets and Ferguson took 3 wickets.

Man of the Match: Kane Williamson (148 runs from 154 balls with 14 boundaries and a six)

By the end of this match, India and Newzealand remains unbeaten in ICC world cup 2019. New Zealand won 5 games and 1 abandoned game. Now they sits on the top with 11 points with 1.306 as good runrate. They almost confirmed their semi final berth. But for Windies they got only 3 points from 6 games. Still 3 games more for them, Windies need to win all of them by good margin then only they can think about semi finals. They have to face India, Srilanka and Afghanistan. If they win against India they can handle Srilanka and Afghanistan easily. But their semi final dream based on other team result too. Like England, Bangladesh and Srilanka have to loss all their remaining matches.
