Centuries everywhere..... No more Malinga's Yorker from next world cup.......

                                     Last day of ICC World Cup 2019 league stage. First match played between asian neighbours India and Srilanka. India were already confirmed their semi final berth. Sri lanka finished this tournament at 6th position which is best with their squad. This match didnt made any impact in semi final list. Still a lot of record particularly centuries record created from both sides. Sri lanka won the toss and elected bat first.

                                     A tremendous century from veteran all rounder Angelo Mathews (113 runs from 128 balls with 10 boundaries and 2 sixes) and a half century from Lahiru Thirimanne (53 runs from 68 balls with 4 fours) posted Sri lanka to score 264/7 at the end of 50 overs. No1 bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowled well for India by taking 3 wickets conceding 37 runs from 10 overs including 2 maiden overs. Ravindra Jadeja finally get an opportunity to play in this world cup and proved him to his captain and coach. He bowled 37 dot balls which his highest from Indian side in this match. Jaddu gave 40 runs from 10 overs and took 1 wicket. We already told Jadeja will be the best all rounder at England condition. But Kohli and Ravi trusted wrist spinners more than Jaddu, next two games very important to lift the trophy. Atleast Kolhi and Ravi should ensure Jaddu's presence in both the matches.

                                 265 runs target is too easy to chase  nowadays. More over Rohit and Rahul is in good form. Dhawan's ruled out of the tournament created a big space in team India. KL Rahul open bat in behalf of Dhawan but didnt show much aggressive batting as like Dhawan. But somehow he is supporting Rohit. Hitman Rohit, what to say about this guy??? took the entire burden of opening partnership in his shoulder and scored one more century in this match. That is 5th century for Rohit (103 runs from 94 balls with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes) in this match, he is the most century scored batsman in single world cup. Also equals the record of Sachin Tendulkar's over all centuries in world cups. Six centuries is the most by any batsman in world cup achieved by Sachin. Still Rohit left minimum one match in this tournament and he can play one more world cup. Its damn sure Rohit will surpass Sachin's record. KL Rahul scored half century in previous match. He converted that into century in this match (111 runs from 118 balls with 11 boundaries and 1 sixes). Because of these centuries from openers, Virat Kohli took the job of finishing by reaching target at 44th over. Kohli remains not out with 34 runs. Lasith Malinga who played his last world cup match took 1 wicket of Rahul and went more expensive with 8.20 as economy. Thisara Perera alone bowled well by conceding only 34 runs from 10 overs. 

Man of the Match: Rohit  Sharma (103 runs from 94 balls with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes)

                                     India were at top now with 15 points, in case if Australia lost to South Africa in the ongoing match India will face New Zealand at semi final as table topper. Otherwise it remains same as England Vs India in semi final at Birminghamm. Anyway India should be ready to face both. Even in the tournament also they made lot of changes in their XI. Its not good for playing knock out games. So Kohli should remains clear about playing XI. Our suggestion he should not drop Ravindra Jadeja in semi if they are going to face England. Because an all rounder like Jadeja is the key player at England soil. When coming to Rohit, he used to try big shots after scoring his century. If India were near to the target its okay, but if target is more then he should sustain for few more overs and punish worst balls. 

Lasith Malinga

                                  Sri lanka gave a sendoff to their best bowler Lasith Malinga from world cups. They finished at 6th position which gave satisfy to all Sri lankan fans. Because they thought even one win is difficult with this squad. Malinga may not be the best bowler in this tournament. But he left his traditional mark by thrashing England. As like Gayle, Malinga's retirement from world cup will be the painful moment for all cricket fans. We were sure no one can beat Malinga's four wickets from four balls in world cups for next 20 years. Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchel Starc is there to bowl yorker.
