No more Chris Gayle from next world cup......

                                     Since all the four semi finalist were confirmed in the ongoing ICC world cup 2019, the match between West Indies and Afghanistan were just played for their completion of last league match. Afghanistan were at last position with zero win and looking forward atleast a win in this tournament. On the other side West Indies were at second bottom with one win and one abandoned match, they doesnt wants to finish the tournament at second bottom so definitely they will try to finish the tournament with a win. This match is the last ever world cup match for the Jamaican King "Universal Boss" Christopher Henry Gayle and a send off with win would be apt for this first double centurion in world cup history.

                                    Each and every fan of Chris Gayle badly need some incredible sixes from Chris Gayle in this match. Even Jason Holder wants the same it seems, that why he opted to bat first after winning toss. Within 6 overs, Dawlat Zadran broke our hearts by sending Gayle to pavilion for just 7 runs. Gayle scored only one boundary today. Another opener Evin Lewis finally showed some skill in this tournament and scored half century 58 runs from 78 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. Shai Hope responsible knock added one more fifty in his list and ends up with 77 runs just before that Shimron Hetmyer lost his wicket for 39 runs. At that time WestIndies were 192 for 4 wickets from 38 overs. Still 12 overs left, but Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder switched themselves into T20 mode and blast fireworks. They both added 100 runs in just 58 balls. Pooran went run out for 58 runs from 43 balls with 6 boundaries and a six. In the very next ball itself Holder lost his wicket for 45 runs from 34 balls with 1 boundary and 4 sixes. Still 4 balls left, Carlos Brathwaite smashed two boundaries and a six from last three balls. West Indies set a target of 312 runs for Afghanistan. Dawlat Zadran grabs two with expensive 8+ economy.

                                   Afghanistan lost three matches in this tournament just because of batting weakness even after restricting opponent less than 250 runs. For them 300+ target itself a big challenge. Captain Gulbadin Naib start the chase with Rahmat Shah but gone for 5 runs. Rahmat and keeper Ikram played well and put partnership of 133 runs for second wicket. Rahmat Shah's classy 62 runs from 78 balls gave hope to Ikram. Najibullah added 51 runs with Ikram for third wicket and Ikram gone for 86 runs from 93 balls. Najibullah gone for 31 runs while trying to take run. Asghar Afghan added quick 40 runs and helped Afghan to cross 250+ runs. Kemar Roach strikes again in his second spell by taking Nabi and Shinwari less than 6 runs. Brathwaite finished the game for West Indies not only in batting. In bowling also he took 4 wickets by taking Rashid, Asghar, Dawlat and Rahmat Shah. Afghanistan went all out for 288 runs and lost the match by 23 runs. 

                         

Man of the Match: Shai Hope (77 runs from 92 balls with 6 boundaries and 2 sixes)

                                     Gayle fans may disappointed with his innings today. Atleast they saw a boundary and a wicket from the king. From next world cup we cant able to see a tall dark muscled predator with long hairs playing for West Indies. Gayle is the first batsman who introduced a double century in world cup. He scored 215 runs from 147 balls with 10 boundaries and 16 sixes against Zimbabwe in ICC WC 2015. He shared the record of most sixes by a batsman in ODI match along with Rohit Sharma. But in this world cup Eoin Morgan broke that record with his 17 sixes. Somehow West Indies team won the match and gave sendoff to Chris Gayle with a win from world cup. 

                                     Afghanistan may not win even a single game in this tournament. Still we have to admit they gave tough challenge to all his neighbour Asian countries to the core. They lost few matches just because shortage of one quality batsman. Hope with in next four years they will found some guy who can win games with bat.
