Steve Smith historical knock ensure Aussie's win at Edgbaston

After the defeat against England in 2019 WC semi finals, Australia went to the same England pitch to face their all time rivals in the prestigious Ashes tournament. More over this is the first ever test series in World Test Championship tournament too. For England this is the second series after world cup next to the test match against Ireland. England players and line up were the strongest in One day Internationals. But the million dollar question is whether they can adapt themselves for test matches??? We got answer for the above question in the test match against Ireland. The world champions secured win against Irish players after a big struggle. Ireland exposed the weakness of England players in test matches.

For Australia they got some extra power after the inclusion of Smith and Warner in squad. In Last one year they faced many defeats in test matches without warner and smith. More over they lost test series against India at the Australian soil. Because of this Australian players became weaker mentally. Now Bancroft also back to international cricket after that one year ban.

The pressure on England now. Too many questions in front of them, whether they can handle mighty Aussies in test matches???? Whether Jason Roy can fill the space created by Cook at opening ???................ After the five day match we got answer for these questions. Steve Smith incredible record innings and Nathan Lyon mystery at fifth day ensure Australia's win at Birminghamm.
