England beat India in world cup after 27 years......
Once England divided sub continent countries into India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. After too many England reunited them for a reason thats for their defeat in ICC world cup 2019. They may reunite for some self benefits. But somehow England achieved that. Because if England lost this match only Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka will get semi final chance easily. But England played with full energy infront of their people and beat India by 31 runs. One more statistics is there England beat India in world cup previously at 1992 world cup. After that they cant able to beat India. In 2011 alone they tie the match against them. But today they rewrote the history of world cup and also increased their world cup semi final chances.
Eoin Morgan opted bat without doing any mistake after winning toss. Injured Jason Roy back to XI and added more strength to England batting. As expected Bumrah and Shami started bowl well but didnt pick wickets. Thats results in major blow at middle overs. Roy and Bairstow smashed half centuries and crossed 150 runs for first wicket. Indian spinners Chahal and Kuldeep went more expensive by conceding 160+ runs in their overs. Finally India got Roy with the help of Sub-fielder Ravindra Jadeja for 66 runs. If Jaddu was not there definitely Roy would have scored century. But Bairstow converted his innings to century. Bairstow lost his wicket to 111 runs from 109 balls with 10 boundaries and 6 sixes to Shami. In his next over itself Shami send Morgan to pavilion. Once England predicted score was more than 350 runs may be they can reach 400. But 31-40 overs changed the match. In between that England scored only 11 runs for 2 wickets from 5 overs. Shami back to bowl his last spell and took Root (44 runs). Stokes scored one more half century in this season and taken by Jaddu easily. Shami took both Buttler and Woakes. Finally England scored 337/7 at the end of 50 overs. Bumrah gave only 3 runs in the last over which restrict England less than 340 runs. Mohammed Shami took 5 wicket haul in this match with a bit expensive at death spell (69/5). Bad day for Chahal and Kuldeep both together gave 12 boundaries and 9 sixes.
India started chasing the himalayan target with Rohit and Rahul. Rahul lost his wicket without scoring any run from 9 balls to Woakes. Rohit and Kohli played well. Both scored half centuries. Liam Plunkett gave a breakthrough at that time and took Kohli for 66 runs. Selfish batting from Rohit Sharma, he started very slowly and struggled to met ball. Somehow reached his 25th century. After century he lost his wicket like thats it i have done my job. He should remember that no other big batsmen left except him to lead the chase still he played that unwanted shot and lost his wicket. Rishab Pant gave a decent debut match in world cup. Pant was taken by Woakes just near the boundary which will be one of the best catch in this season. Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni did a great job at the end by scoring 45 and 42 runs with less than 35 balls. But its not sufficient to complete the chase. Dhoni remains not out with 42 runs from 31 balls. India scored only 306 runs with 5 wickets loss. Liam Plunkett took 3 wickets for 55 runs. Chris Woakes gave many runs at his last spell but finished with decent figures 58 runs from 10 overs with 2 wickets and 3 maiden overs.
Man of the Match: Johnny Bairstow (111 runs from 109 runs with 10 boundaries and 6 sixes)
England were now at 4th position with 10 points. Still they have one game left against New Zealand. If they beat the black caps semi final berth is confirm for them. Otherwise either Pakistan or Bangladesh will get chance. Like Pakistan left with one game against Bangladesh if they won that game, may have chance for semi final it based on the result of England vs New Zealand match. In case if Bangladesh won, then Pakistan will be out of the tournament and Bangladesh must have to win against India. Then only Bangladesh can able to enter semi for the first time. But for all these England should loss against New Zealand.
Coming Tuesday Bangladesh going to play against India in a do or die match. If they loss, Bangladesh will be out of semi final competition. But if they win, Pakistan Vs Bangladesh match will be the best ever clash in world cup history.
