                                       1987 Reliance cup finals, England were at the edge of win when chasing the target of 254 runs set by their rivals Australia. England captain Mike Gatting played a reverse sweep at unwanted time, it put an end to that partnership and Australia won the match by just 7 runs. England lost their first world cup just a margin of 7 runs. On the other side 2015 ICC World cup finals, the host Australia and cohost New Zealand met each other  at MCG. One worst game from New Zealand in that season at finals made Australia to lift the world cup for the 5th time. Kiwi's lost their first world cup with just one bad match. Now both England and New Zealand going to fight for their maiden title at Lords. England gonna play their 4th finals after 27 years and New Zealand made their second finals that too in consecutive world cups. As a cricket fan we wish both deserve the title. But only one can lift the trophy right. In that situation Morgan and Kane looking forward their maiden world champion title at Lords.

                                      Climax of ICC world cup 2019 started with Kiwi's batting after Kane won the toss. Martin Guptil and Henry Nichollas started the innings carefully and sustained till 7th over. Martin Guptil went pavilion as a first wicket for 19 runs. Most expected Williamson added a decent 30 runs to New Zealand score and was caught by wicket keeper Jos Buttler. Chris Woakes bowled extra ordinary spell as like the semi finals against Australia. Henry Nichollas responsible half century  innings (55 runs) ends at 27th over. New Zealand were at the situation of scoring than 200 runs. But wicket Keeper Tom Latham 47 runs from 56 balls at the end  helped Kiwis to score a challenging target of 241/8 at the end of 50 overs. Sad thing is England gave 30 runs in the means of extras  including 17 wides. Chris Woakes and Plunkett took 3 wickets each.

                                     England need to chase the 242 runs target from 300 balls. The problem is New Zealand bowling attack is too strong when compared with their batting. Exactly same thing happened Matt Henry sent Jason Roy for 17 runs in 6th over itself. Trusted batsman Joe Root came to bat by carrying british people hope. But England faced problem in the form of Colin Grandhomme. Colin put pressure on Root by bowling swingers off side the stumps. Two consecutive dot balls forced Root to play the third ball which is bowled as a out swinger. The plan worked well, Root was caught by Latham for just 7 runs. With in few minutes England's another hope Johnny Bairstow lost his stumps to Ferguson for an inside edge. Eoin Morgan tried to attack bowlers from starting itself which costs his wicket for 9 runs by a acrobatic catch from Ferguson. Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler built a much needed partnership for England. Since no other batsmen left except these two, Stokes and Buttler played very cautious and smashed boundaries whenever they get loose balls. Both the dangerous batsmen scored half centuries. At 45th over Lockie Ferguson gave a breakthrough by taking Buttler's wicket for 59 runs with the help of Tim Southee who came as a sub fielder. Ferguson sent Woakes for 2 runs in his very next over first ball itself. Its upto Ben Stokes now to finish the game. But the pressure on New Zealand. You know Why??? Bcoz it is the last over for Ferguson. Still 3 overs left and 34 runs need to defend. The same situation they faced against India at semi finals. Jimmy Neesham took 2 wickets in 49th over. Actually it should be 3. But boult missed Stokes catch at mid off. He took catch but missed balanced and touched the boundary line.

                                   Nail biting last over ends with a tie. Yes, no one will expect this. First two balls bowled as dot by boult. Third ball the same line but missed yorker, stokes send it to six. 4th ball is the controversial ball of this match. Stokes striked it to mid off Guptil collected it and throwed to Latham. But the ball hit on stokes and went to boundary. So England got 6 runs from that ball. Which raise many question about the cricket rules. But boult bowled well and took 2 run outs at last two balls which leads to the match A TIE. Stokes remains not out with 84 runs from 98 balls with 5 boundaries and 2sixes.

                                       A Super over at world cup finals. Those who bought tickets for finals going to get double bonanza now. England bat first as per rules and scored 15 runs from 6 balls with Stokes and Buttler as batsmen. New Zealand need to score 16 runs to win the title. Jimmy Neesham and Guptil came to chase. Unfortunately New Zealand scored the same 15 runs and super over ends with a tie.. A last ball run out ensure the title for England.

                                       How???????  As per the ICC World Cup 2019 rules, the team who scored maximum boundaries including super over would be the winner. As per that England scored 26 boundaries including super over. But New Zealand scored only 17 boundaries. England won their maiden world cup title after two ties. 

                                      Hard luck for New Zealand, they might be the winner of this match. But ICC rules changed the result on the 4th ball of 49th over. Ben Stokes unknowingly deflected that ball, but that might be a deflection from god. Nothing to say. But both deserved the title. Dont forget New Zealand born cricketer Ben Stokes became the reason for England's win.

Player of the Tournament: Kane Williamson (578 runs)

                                          Ben Stokes, he was called as the choker of  ICC T20 world cup 2016 by giving 4 sixes in last over to Brathwaite. England lost the match at last over. Everyone blammed him. But now he is the lone fighter of this match for England and won ICC World Cup 2019 for his country.
